    Description

Up for sale is a World War II era vintage postcard featuring a very welcoming hula girl, who is is smiling broadly and winking.  She is near topless (lots of cleavage) and wearing a flower near her right ear.  (In Hawaiian culture, wearing a flower on the right side means that the person is single and possibly interested in romance.)
I obtained this card from an estate.  I found it loose - not attached - in a photo album filled with a mixture of military and civilian photos from World War II.  The WWII serviceman from this family served in the US Navy as an A.M.M. (Aviation Machinist Mate) and was stationed in the Pacific (including probably on the island of Betio Tarawa).
The card, which is postally unused, measures 5 and 7/16 inches x 3 and 7/16 inches.  It is oriented vertically.  It is in black and white (or possibly sepia).   The stamp box has the letters AZO with squares at each corner, which suggests that the card was produced somewhere between about 1926 and the 1940s.  The card has no mention of the photographer or the maker and there is no catalogue number printed on the card.
Attention US Buyers:  I will ship this by "E-Bay Standard Envelope" or by USPS First Class Parcel or by USPS Priority Mail.  E-Bay Standard Envelope is a new shipping option for postcards, and other selected items, that combines shipping in an envelope (like a letter) with having a tracking number (like a parcel).  If the closing auction price is less than $ 20.00, I will use E-Bay Standard Envelope.  If the closing auction price is more than $ 20.00, I will use USPS First Class Parcel, i.e. a package with tracking.  (USPS Priority Mail can be used, if you choose it, regardless of the closing auction price.)
