    THIRTEEN STEP
    CHAIN ESCAPE LADDER
    Each step is approximately one foot below the other.  In the second photo you can see pegs sticking up at about every third step~ these are to keep the ladder away from the wall to give a better foothold.  The second photo also shows that a plastic cover over one of the ladder's end hook is missing.
