    Portable Studio-quality Sound
Sennheiser HD 200 PRO headphones deliver studio-quality sound without breaking the bank. Proprietary neodymium magnets ensure detailed sound with loads of low-end punch. These headphones offer outstanding comfort, courtesy of their light weight and soft ear cushions. Enjoy excellent sonic isolation, by means of a closed-back over-ear design. A robust single-sided cable gives rise to tangle-free, unencumbered movement. In the studio, at your electric piano, or in front of your laptop, Sennheiser HD 200 PRO headphones provide an enjoyable listening experience.
    Circumaural vs. supra-aural
In layman's terms, these words simply mean "over ear" (circumaural) and "on ear" (supra-aural). In the case of headphones, this refers to the design of the earcup, which is the cushion that sits between the headphone's speakers (drivers) and your ear. Here at Sweetwater, we rarely use supra-aural headphones for professional applications, although they're great for casual listening — especially if you need to be aware of what's going on around you. On the other hand, over-ear headphones like these Sennheiser HD 200 PROs offer excellent attenuation of external noise.
    Closed-back vs. open-back
Also referred to sometimes as simply "closed" and "open," this distinction addresses the design of the part of the headphone that covers the area behind the driver in a straight line away from the side of your head. Closed-back headphones like these Sennheiser HD 200 PROs prevent sound from escaping and leaking into your microphone. The downside of this design is that it traps pressure inside the headphone, which creates false low frequencies. These false low frequencies are fine for most uses (and even desirable in consumer products), but less desirable for critical listening.
    The Sennheiser story
Sennheiser has been producing broadcast technology products since the 1940s and continues to develop microphone technology and wireless systems. Based in Germany, Sennheiser actually began as Laboratorium Wennebostel, manufacturing tube voltmeters. Microphone production followed shortly, and Lab W microphones quickly became a trusted name in broadcast, movie, and TV production. After adopting the Sennheiser name in 1958, their continued advancements in microphone technology soon made them popular with recording studios. Notable innovations include some of the first RF wireless systems for TV and stage use, the first interference tube mic for movies and TV, and the world's first open-back headphones.

Alesis Nitro Mesh Kit with Stands and Hardware
The latest installment in Alesis’s value-packed Nitro series of electronic drums, the Alesis Nitro Mesh Kit, features a full set of tunable mesh drumheads to deliver a custom playing experience — a rare feat for an electric drum kit at this price point. Forty ready-made drum kits and 385 customizable drum/cymbal sounds, along with 60 play-along backing tracks and an aux input for mobile devices, make the Alesis Nitro Mesh Kit an excellent practice tool and the ultimate low-volume jamming solution. All drum stands, pedals, hardware, cables — even drumsticks — are included to have you set up and drumming in no time. Other highlights of the Alesis Nitro Mesh Kit include virtual instrument compatibility via USB and MIDI ports and a dual-zone snare pad with separate head and rim zones.
    Alesis Nitro drum module
The Alesis Nitro Mesh Kit drum module offers 40 drum kits right out of the box, covering classic acoustic favorites, modern electronic beat machines, exotic percussion rigs, and more. You can also assemble your own drum kits from the 385 excellent onboard sounds. Rock out to 60 play-along tracks, plug in your phone or tablet and fire up your favorite tunes, or just build chops to the metronome. If you want to connect to your DAW or another sound module, your choice of USB or traditional MIDI I/O makes it easy to connect to your other music gear with the Alesis Nitro Mesh Kit.
    Expressive drum pads from Alesis
The Alesis Nitro Mesh Kit’s dual-zone 8" snare transitions naturally from standard strokes to rimshots, while its 10" crash cymbal with onboard choke adds another vital dynamic to performances. Add to these a smooth hi-hat cymbal controller pedal, an expressive ride pad, and fast-playing toms and kick pads, and you’ll have no trouble finding your footing with the Alesis Nitro Mesh Kit.
    Tunable Alesis mesh heads
Whether you come from a drum set or marching background, you’ll find the response you’re after in the Alesis Nitro Mesh Kit. The tunable, tightly woven mesh drumheads allow players to customize rebound and sensitivity for a custom playing response. The Alesis mesh drumheads themselves are significantly quieter than traditional drum pads, for after-hours practice that won’t bother your neighbors or loved ones.
Electronic drum stand and accessories included
The Alesis Nitro Mesh Kit includes all of the accessories you need, from its 4-post aluminum frame with pad mounts to its included bass drum pedal and hi-hat controller. This electronic drum kit package even comes with cable wraps, a drum key, and a pair of drumsticks. Just grab a drum throne, and you’re ready to rock with the Alesis Nitro Mesh kit from Sweetwater.
