Here is a Rare Vintage Advertising Bonbons (Isaac Benesch 54th Anniversary) Carnival Glass. The base of this dish reads: The Great House of Isaac Benesch & Sons and in the center 54th Anniversary as seen in photo #11 &12 which maybe hard to read. This dish is 3" tall which is at the handle by 7" wide from handle to handle by 7" long by 2 1/8" across the base. This interior pattern is called (Holly Sprig) and the leafs are heavily stippled and it has berry clusters as seen in photo's. This bonbon dish is Pre-owned by Me, I have been collecting Carnival Glass for over 45 years and in the near future my collection of over 650 plus pieces will be coming up for Auction. This Bonbon Dish is in Great condition with NO Chips, Cracks or Flea Bites.
" The Great House of Isaac Benesch and Sons was the largest home furnishings department store of its time. The company was established in 1858 and eventually grew to encompass 13 retail outlets and 16 warehouses located in four different cities in Maryland and Pennsylvania. Benesch originated many marketing ideas that today are considered commonplace. Among them were: The First home delivery by gas powered trucks in 1912, The First set up complete room displays in 1921 and The First to take trade-ins in 1926.The Great House closed in the 1960s and was run as Kaufman's Department Stores until 1997.
