    Description

Up for your purview is this 9 fluid ounces, made in 1955, Mingo Beverages Soda Bottle.  These bottles were made between 1948 and 1955.   I have owned this bottle for over forty years.  This bottle, in excellent, used condition, was used in Williamson, West Virginia, Mingo County, by the Mingo Bottling Company, on the Tug Fork River which flows into the Ohio River at Ashland, Kentucky.
"Who is there to mourn for Logan.  No one."  Thus spoke Logan, a Cayuga-Mingo Native American, who originally befriended European settlers in the Ohio River Valley.  He became enraged against white settlers because a group of these outlaw settlers had drawn members of his family, and friends into an ambush and murdered several members of his tribe including his brother, sister, and her tiny baby.  "Logan's Lament" is one of the most famous speeches by a Native American.  Thomas Jefferson was influenced by this speech when Jefferson learned of it later.   Logan is remembered by a statue in front of the Mingo County Courthouse, and by the name of a county and city in West Virginia and a county seat in Ohio.  Be a part of the Logan Heritage, a member of the Mingo Tribe, a decent human being, who sought peace with the white man, only to find himself in the wrong place at the wrong time.
By "Excellent, used condition", I mean the bottle has been used and may show what I consider minor flaws caused by case wear and normal use including pin pricks in paint.  The condition of this bottle is the same as the one I enjoy in my collection.
Sorry about the new, high, ridiculous, cost of postage.   I realize mailing this bottle in a Medium Priority Box is expensive, over , but I value the safety of the bottle.  I also don't have time to hunt up smaller boxes at stores and I won't know the postal zone of the buyer or what this box will cost to mail.  The Priority box has room in it for a couple extra bottles.  I plan to put a Sour Puss, 7 oz.; Pittsburg, Pa.,  Lift, 7 oz., Verona, Pa.; Airplane, Vace's Beverages, (Cowboy), Logan, W. Va., 16 oz,  and a few miscellaneous mint bottle caps in each Mingo bottle box.  So, that gives a little extra for you to put in your collection or give to someone.
Folks, this is a classic bottle. You won't be sorry to own one.
