    Description

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE AUCTION NOTES SO THIS CAN BE A HAPPY EXPERIENCE FOR BOTH
PLEASE USE PICS AS PART OF YOUR ASSESSMENT OF ITEM SPECIFICS AND CONDITION
I really know nothing about this item and will describe what I see and what glassies told me on the board.  It is attributed to LE Smith and is black amethyst as purple shines through once you put a bright light to it.  I tried searching and found other examples that were mislabeled as Hazel Atlas or other misc things.
I was told by another glassie it is not HA since they did not make black amethyst glass.  I think the pattern looks drizzled but it is not the drizzle glass patterns that have been identified.  I saw a few other like pieces called confetti and another glassie said that this is possibly called veined onyx.  The shape is that of a console bowl but it is only 2" tall x 6 1/8" in diameter and I am thinking that makes it too small for that.  I feel some rough areas in the rim that feel like a seams from production?  It has a few teeny nips which is normal for age but nothing terribly ugly.  I do not know why there are rings in the glass on the bottom. (I am still learning/have a lot to learn about glassware)
