*Up for sale here is a nice looking Christo Cola soda pop bottle, from the Summers county town of Hinton, West Virginia. Originally this bottle would have been clear, but was color enhanced many years ago to this muddy amber shade. This interesting looking ten pin shaped example is in very good shape. It is clean with no wear, but there is a minor chip on the lower base edge, as pictured here. Bottle is early ABM (machine made), and would date from about 1910.
*It is nicely embossed, as it reads ~ "CHRISTO / 5 c / Good For You (in sun logo) / 5 c / Invigorating / Refreshing / COLA / Registered". On the base it reads ~ "Christo / Cola". On the opposite side it is embossed ~ "Minimum Contents / 6 1/2 Fluid Ozs. / CHRISTO COLA / BOTTLING CO. / HINTON, W.VA." (in a long rectangular slug plate). This copy cat coke bottle measures 7 1/2 inches tall, and 3 inches across the widest diameter. You will be quite pleased with this example as it is, from the state of West Virginia.
