*Up for sale here is a very scarce to rare California Drink-O two color acl soda pop bottle from Knoxville, Tennessee. This southern example would date from 1954, as indicated by the "54" date code on the base. It is in the taller 10 ounce size, and bottle is near perfect. It seen barely any wear, and there is minor lip chip on the back side of the lip, see pictures. The detailed graphic label with the cowboy and rearing horse is excellent. He is proudly holding up a bottle of pop. On his shirt reads "Drink-O". The main label is framed in between both side seams. There is some nice ribbing and stippling on the bottle. The neck labels reads front and back ~ "California / Drink-O".
*The impressive green and white pyro label reads ~ "CALIFORNIA / (cowboy image) And Mr. DRINK-O / Choice Beverages". On the base it is embossed ~ "7 (I) 54 / 1 / 6-473". Bottle was made by the Owens-Illinois Glass Company in 1954. On the back in white acl lettering it reads with the ingredients. It then reads ~ "Contents 10 Fl. Ozs. California Drink-O Bottling Co. / Knoxville, Tennessee". This nice taller example measures 9 3/8 inches tall, and 2 1/4 inches in diameter. You will be quite pleased with such a nice example as this one, from the state of Tennessee.
