Original Antique C 1918 Vanta Advertising "Baby's Outfit"  "A Book For Mothers" Distributed by A. B. Park Company Adrian Michigan.  A booklet on the care of newborns for young mothers.  Shows how to make clothing and care for all aspects of the newborn to approximately one years old. There is a longitudinal tear on the front cover edge.  Otherwise very good.  All Pages intact without writing.  Staple binding intact. 46 unnumbered pages. 8.5 x 5".   LLA 011 071820

For the past 40 years, 117 S. Main St. in downtown Adrian has been home to the Hamerman’s Furniture Store. Prior to that, it was home to one of Adrian’s premier department stores, the A.B. Park Department Store. Ambrose B. Park first opened his department store in 1877 at No. 4 Maumee St. in downtown. But eight years later, the dry goods, rugs, draperies and ready-to-wear business that Park created was booming and a bigger space was needed.
In 1885, Park built and moved his business to 117 S. Main St. Sadly, the store closed in 1971 after nearly a century as a staple downtown business.
