Antique pair of handcarved coconut shell tribal breastplates or necklaces
Carving detail appears to be from Indonesia / Bali
Intricate, detailed carvings of goddess or deities, and birds
Each of the necklaces are handcarved, incised coconut shell links & dangles
The longer one measures 41 inches top to bottom
The breastplate measures 4.75 inches x 6.5 inches
There are 3 figures carved into the center
And 3 larger protruding carved bird links spaced underneath
The shorter one measures 34 inches top to bottom
The breastplate measures 4.25 inches x 6.5 inches
It has an old glued repair - amazing carved detailed work
And 2 larger protruding carved bird links are spaced underneath
I've never seen anything like these before
They make unusual boho wallhangings
