    very nice restored 100% original New York license plate pair. 1939 issue; number J 148.  rare four-character variant.  13 x 6 inches; black legend on yellow background. the plates lie almost completely straight and flat and have been restored to the correct colors and finish.  not quite show and display perfect, but well nicer than your average daily driver pair.
    DMV clear as of 7/19/2021.  may be registered on your 1939 vehicle for road use.  perfect for your Ford, Chevy, Plymouth, Studebaker, or DeLorean.
